Finally, there remains the sad option when the service has not been activated. In this case you can:

change the password for your Apple ID and for those services that you logged into on your iPhone (for example, social networks);
disable Apple Pay through the website https://appleid.apple.com in the appropriate section.

Finally, if your iPhone was stolen and turned off, then you can, of course, try to find it yourself, but you should not forget about this method, like contacting the police. You must write an application and indicate the IMEI of the device, as well as confirm that it is really yours. Additionally, you can contact your telecom operator and block the SIM.

Is it worth searching through satellite and third-party online services?

How to find using a satellite receiver? The answer is simple: no way. In principle, such a function is not provided, since the iPhone is not connected with it in any way.

Yes, theoretically, the telecom operator can determine the position of the device. But this can only work in two cases:

you have connected the corresponding service from the operator to your SIM and can monitor the position of the device in your personal account or via USSD (depending on the implementation);
you contacted the police/police, and they submitted an official request to the operator indicating the IMEI.

Services that offer to find an iPhone by device code only check online whether the specified IMEI is on the list of stolen ones. And these lists are replenished by the same users of the service. Often they do not work at all, producing various errors.

There are also sites that offer to find an iPhone (and indeed any device) by phone number - supposedly right now and online, although not for free. They can't actually get geolocation, so they are programmed to imitate the search process. For example, only the operator and the region to which the number belongs are determined, and not the actual location.

Don't pay scammers. The only truly working option is through Apple's service.

Find iPhone from computer online

And so you are a fan of Apple devices, for example: iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch, and a very unpleasant thing happened: you lost it or it was stolen from you. What to do in this case?

And so, when you purchase your iPhone or tablet (iPad), the “Find iPhone” function is automatically connected to you. Tasks of this function in case of loss of the device or theft of the ego using a laptop, personal computer or tablet to detect the ego.

You can also enable lost mode: thanks to it, you will be able to track your phone on a map, enter a 4-digit password for a complete lock, and even display a special message on the screen. This option is usually used if your iPhone is not just lost, but stolen.

Through remote access, it will also be possible to delete all data from the iPhone, but it is worth remembering that after performing this action, you will not be able to track it.

Search when Find My iPhone is turned off

If the “Find My iPhone” function was turned off, then at home you will not be able to find your phone using a computer, and even YouTube will not help you. We do not consider searching by IMEI and other professional approaches here, since these methods are available to a very limited circle of people and cannot claim to be publicly available.
However, you still have the option to protect your data as follows:

The first thing you need to do is change your Apple ID password. If you do this, no one will be able to access iCloud data and stuff.
Then it is highly recommended to change all existing social profiles. networks and other services.
It is also recommended to call your mobile operator and inform them about the loss of your phone. He will be able to temporarily disable your SIM card, which in turn will not allow anyone to send messages or make calls from your number.

First, you need to open the "Settings" section, scroll down a little in the menu and enable the "Find My iPhone" function in the iCloud section. It should be noted that this function must be constantly enabled so that if the device is lost, it can be found. If this function cannot determine the location of the phone, then the last known location of the iPhone during the previous day will be displayed on the screen. You can also enable sending notifications via your computer when your device is connected to the network.

Additional features

The above function has many interesting additional features:

If the device is located close to the computer from which the search is being carried out, the program can play a sound signal. It will sound even when the sound on the device is turned off.

If there is a danger that the device will be lost in a public place and it is necessary to protect all existing data, then you can set a 4-digit password remotely and in this case no one will be able to unlock the phone. This is especially true when you need to find a stolen iPhone.
