Guide to leveling up professions in WWII. Professions. Engineering in WoW Classic

There are many professions in the game. All professions are important, all professions are needed. But some professions are more suitable for certain specializations, others are neutral, and others are completely useless. Some professions are best chosen for certain races that have a bonus to them - a list of,.

Types of professions in the game

In the game, professions are divided into:

  • Basic
  • Auxiliary

The main differences between the main and auxiliary professions:

  • Your character can have only 2 main professions, and auxiliary ones - all those that are in the game.
  • Main professions give bonuses to your character's characteristics, but auxiliary professions do not give anything like that.
  • You can always “throw away” your main professions (give up on them) and take others in their place.

The main professions are divided into:

  • Crafts– professions through which you will create objects, things, potions (alchemy) in the game.
  • Collective– professions associated with collecting resources in the game, necessary for certain professions.

The game slang is indicated in brackets, as these professions are called by players in the game.

Craft professions include:

  • (chemistry)
  • (chanting)
  • (little tailor)
  • (ingja)
  • (leatherworking, leather)
  • (Yuva)
  • (inscription)

Collective professions include:

  • (herba)
  • (mining/mining)

Supporting professions:

Each of the professions gives certain bonuses to the characteristics in the game, so you need to carefully choose it for your specialization, although the bonus is not significant, but still. Some professions are not even advisable for certain classes - their bonuses will not bring any benefit.

You can forget any learned basic profession - abandon the profession. To do this, click on the crossed out red circle next to the profession in the abilities and spells window on the Professions tab

This article is devoted to the general familiarization of players with professions in WoW, so there is no point in writing a full review - there will be a lot of information that will “confuse” the player more than “show” him the path.

I will give general advice on choosing a profession:

  • Choose the one that you like best, yes, there are bonuses among professions - but they are not significant! So they won’t give a big increase in performance.
  • Gathering professions are good when leveling up your character; for each resource you collect, you will receive additional experience, but for the main character or the topics you raid, they are not suitable. So it is best to take collecting professions for twinks (additional characters).
  • I will express myself using a metaphor for making money from gathering and craft professions - let the gathering professions be bread, and the craft professions be machines. The difference between them is like selling bread or cars - bread is bought more often, it brings a stable profit, although not much. And cars are bought less often, they bring more profit, although they are not so stable and it is very profitable to sell them when they are new. As you understand, “new cars” are new items that become available at the beginning of the addon, the price for them is then the highest and the demand is highest, but in the end their creation, sometimes, does not even pay for itself.

I hope this article will help noobs a little in mastering the world of Warcraft.

More detailed articles on each profession separately will be published later.

P.S. Thank you, Setjar (with ChS) for your help in writing the article.

One of the most important components of the WOW gameplay are professions. In Game World of Warcraft the entire game economy is based on them. Gamers have the opportunity to earn gold - the main game currency - exclusively through professions. You must engage in some kind of craft if you want to actively participate in raids and purchase unique items at auctions. There is one thing you need to know: if you want to give up your profession, you can immediately start studying another one, but in this case the skills you have acquired and the level of the craft that you decided to abandon will be lost. In WOW you can learn many crafts, which are divided into mining and manufacturing.

Mining crafts in wow

Mining professions are quite tedious, but they are not difficult to level up. The following crafts are mining:

Herbalism- you surf the expanses of the game and look for the necessary herbs that can be used in other crafts or sold at auctions.

Mining— you are searching for ore in different locations. From the discovered fossils, you can subsequently make ingots and use them in other professions. Mining increases the character's stamina level.

Skinning— you remove skins and scales from monsters. This craft increases the critical effect rating.

Manufacturing professions

Producing professions in the game are:

Alchemy- one of the most interesting crafts in the game, because it allows you to make unique tinctures and potions with which you can heal, enter invisibility, and so on. This craft has a passive effect, increasing the strength of the character's potions.

blacksmith craft— using the main tools of a blacksmith, an anvil and a hammer, you can make chain mail, various armor, and other unique items.

Enchanting- if you choose this craft, you will be able to disassemble magical objects into their component parts and then get magic dust from them. This dust is used on weapons, armor and other equipment and improves their performance. Enchanting is a popular profession, but it requires a significant investment, which, however, will pay off handsomely once you master the craft.

Engineering- also a very interesting profession. Engineers not only have unique abilities, but also pets and vehicles that make the game easier.

Typeface- you can create special symbols that have a certain effect on your hero.

Jewelry- a profession that, after being fully mastered, will allow you to make amulets and various jewelry from precious stones that will protect your hero and increase his characteristics.

Leatherworking- you can create the necessary items from skins, salts and threads, such as bags, armor with leather linings, drums and others. This profession is useful for Druids and Rogues.

Tailoring— if you like to fight at range and wear lightweight equipment, then this craft is for you. Once you master it, you can sew armor for yourself from fabric and a bag.

In this guide we will tell you about professions in. The guide is intended for players unfamiliar with the classical system and interested in choosing the profession that is most beneficial for a particular character.

1. Classic system of professions

In WoW Classic, a character can learn the following professions.

  • Manufacturing professions. The player learns recipes and produces items according to these recipes that can be worn or sold. Some particularly powerful items are only intended for the player who crafted them. Producing professions include alchemy, blacksmithing, cooking, engineering, leatherworking, and tailoring.
  • Service professions. These professions allow you to produce items that make life easier for players without being items of equipment. Service professions include first aid and enchanting.
  • Gathering professions. These professions allow you to collect materials needed to produce various items. These include herbalism, mining, skinning and fishing.
  • Other professions. This category includes professions that do not meet the three above definitions. This includes horse riding, cooking poisons and picking pockets.

The player can choose a maximum of two main professions. Basic professions include: alchemy, blacksmithing, enchanting, engineering, herbalism, leatherworking, mining, skinning. All other professions (cooking, fishing, first aid) are considered auxiliary and can be mastered without restrictions.

Some professions have specializations with unique recipes:

  • Engineering - Goblin Engineering, Gnomish Engineering
  • Leatherworking - dragon scales, elements, ancestral traditions

2. Leveling up professions in WoW Classic

To increase the level of proficiency in a profession, you need to make or collect the necessary items. The higher the skill level, the more complex the recipes available to the character, and the better the items he can collect or craft.

  • Orange: 100% chance of gaining a skill point
  • Yellow: High chance of gaining a skill point
  • Green: Low chance of gaining a skill point
  • Grey: No chance of gaining a skill point

If you want to see if a particular recipe can be used to level up a skill, check out the recipe page on Wowhead. As in Battle for Azeroth, when leveling up your skill using the “yellow” recipes, it is recommended to make the cheapest items.

Exceptions:

  • When skinning an "orange" monster, a skill point is not guaranteed.
  • When leveling up, fish can be caught in any location of a suitable level, however, to obtain each subsequent skill point, more and more casts of the fishing rod are required.

3. Job ranks in WoW Classic

If you have upgraded your profession skill to the maximum level available to you, visit the profession teacher and learn the next rank.

  • Student - up to 75
  • Journeyman - up to 150
  • Craftsman - up to 225
  • Artisan - up to 300

When changing profession, all ranks and skill points are reset to 1.

Profession ranks are tied to character level:

  • Student- level 5 for production professions and fishing, level 1 for gathering professions
  • Journeyman- level 10 for production professions and fishing, level 1 for gathering professions
  • Craftsman- level 20 for producing professions, level 10 for gathering professions and fishing
  • Artisan- level 35 for producing professions, level 25 for gathering professions, level 10 for fishing

4. Professional bonuses in WoW Classic

Two races have bonuses for professions:

  • Sprouting (Tauren): Increases Herbalism skill by 15 points.
  • Engineering Specialization (Dwarves): Increases Engineering skill by 15 points.

Some items also provide professional bonuses:

  • Mining: Formula: Enchant Gloves - Mining II, Goblin Miner's Helmet
  • Skinning: Zulian Cleaver, Venturon Flayer, Formula: Enchant Gloves - Skinning

Fishing is a unique profession that uses various short-term upgrades (lures). We will tell you more about these improvements in the corresponding guide.

5. Basic professions in WoW Classic

5.1. Alchemy in WoW Classic

Alchemy is popular among players who actively attend raids, as it can be used to create important consumable items. A paired profession for alchemy is herbalism, which allows you to obtain herbs that are part of infusions, elixirs and potions. Alchemy also uses oils that are extracted from caught fish.

  • Flasks - such as the Flask of Greater Power - last for two hours and provide players with significant bonuses. There are also infusions that increase resistance levels - for example, Flask of All-Colored Resistance.
  • Elixirs are divided into combat and security. The former allow players to more effectively carry out combat missions, the latter provide protection. Mongoose Elixir is very popular among melee players.
  • Potions - such as the Potion of Restful Sleep or the Potion of Nature Protection - provide short-term buffs to players.

Alchemists can perform transmutations once a day. The most requested recipe from this series is Transmute: Arcanite.

5.2. Blacksmithing in WoW Classic

Blacksmithing is a profession for characters who can wear armor. The paired profession for blacksmithing is mining. In addition to armor for warriors and paladins, blacksmiths can craft powerful weapons.

Blacksmiths use a blacksmith hammer as a tool while standing at an anvil. Anvils can be found in any major city. Crafting special items requires you to be in the Blackrock Forge in Blackrock Depths.

Particularly valuable items produced through blacksmithing include the Arcanite Reaper, Invincible Armor, and Sulfuron Hammer.

Having reached level 40 and skill level 200, a blacksmith can choose a specialization - a gunsmith or an armorer. Each specialization gives access to unique recipes. For example, the Blazing Rapier is only available to weaponsmiths who specialize in swords.

  • Weaponsmiths are further divided into Ax Masters, Sword Masters, and Hammer Masters. To choose one of these branches, you need to level up your character to level 50 and blacksmithing to level 250.

In addition to armor and weapons, blacksmiths can craft other useful items - for example, the Elemental Sharpening Stone for characters who use melee weapons, or the Arcanite Lockpick for those who do not have rogue friends.

5.3. Enchanting in WoW Classic

Enchanting allows you to improve certain items of equipment (weapons, boots, bracers, breastplates, cloaks, gloves and shields). The improvement is permanent. Enchanting requires Arcane Dust, which is obtained from unwanted equipment. Enchanting is believed to be a profession for spellcasters. It is usually studied in conjunction with tailoring.

The tools for casting enchantments are wands - for example, Rune Arcanite Wand. The higher the skill level, the better the wand should be.

To get the best dust for enchanting, you will have to disenchant the best equipment. The best dust and crystals are, Large Sparkling Shard, Greater Eternal Essence, Dust of Illusions.

Some enchantments provide passive bonuses (for example, Enchant Weapon - Spell Power), some work from time to time (for example, Enchant Weapon - Knight).

In addition, enchanters can make additional weapons for spellcasters and oils that are actively used in raids (for example, Sparkling Magic Oil). They also have access to a recipe for the Smoking Heart of the Mountain accessory and materials for other professions - Enchanted Leather and Enchanted Thorium Ingot.

5.4. Engineering in WoW Classic

Engineering is more fun than it is worth, but some mechanisms make life much easier for fighters, especially hunters. Some consider engineering to be a PvP profession, especially for low-level characters.

Engineering allows players to deal extra damage with bombs. Some bombs have additional effects - for example, Arcane Bomb silences and drains mana, and Explosive Bomb spreads to multiple enemies.

Hunters gain additional benefits from engineering:

  • Sights - such as the Bizniks 247x128 Sight - improve ranged weapons.
  • Using engineering, you can also make the best ammunition in the game - Thorium Ammo or Thorium Tipped Arrow

Fun and unusual engineering mechanisms include:

  • Field Repair Robot 74A repairs equipment for the entire group.
  • Modulating Voice Amplifier grants immunity to muteness.
  • The parachute cloak reduces the speed of fall.
  • Anti-redirect beam reduces damage and reduces movement speed.

Engineers can also craft items of equipment intended for characters who are proficient in this profession. This includes helmets (such as Rose Goggles and Diver's Helm) and accessories (such as Greater Atomic Redirector and Arcanite Whelpling).

Among other things, engineers have recipes for making various trinkets (Snake Sting Firecracker), pets (Mechanical Toad) and toys (Steam Tank Control Panel).

Goblin and Gnomish Engineering

After leveling up your character to level 30 and engineering to 200, you can choose a specialization - goblin or gnome engineering. Specialization makes it possible to teleport to the cities of goblins and gnomes (sometimes with side effects!), as well as make pets and various specific devices.

Gnomish Engineering:

  • Dwarf Jet Boots
  • Dwarven Mind Control Cap controls the enemy.
  • Ultra-Safe Transporter: Gadgetzan teleports to Gadgetzan.
  • The Dwarven Belt, which protects from harm, covers the character with a shield.
  • Little Smokey is a pet.
  • The dwarven net thrower immobilizes the enemy.
  • Encrusted mithril cylinder - sketch - spare part for blacksmiths.

Goblin Engineering:

  • Goblin Jet Boots increase movement speed.
  • The Goblin Jet Helmet allows you to dash towards an enemy and stun them.
  • Dimensional Passer - All-rounder teleports to all-rounder.
  • Goblin Cable Defibrillator has a chance to revive the target.
  • Goblin Sapper Charge - strong AoE explosion.
  • Goblin Rocket Fuel - recipe - substance for alchemists.
  • Beast Bomber is a pet.

5.5. Herbalism in WoW Classic

Herbalism is a profession for players who want to earn more gold by selling herbs to alchemists, or who are proficient in alchemy and make infusions, potions and elixirs for raids.

By leveling Herbalism to level 300, players gain the ability to collect the elusive Black Lotus. The lotus is required for making the most valuable infusions and the Amulet of Gurubashi Madness, necessary for summoning bosses in Zul'Gurub.

5.6. Leatherworking in WoW Classic

Leatherworking is a profession for characters who can wear leather and chain mail armor. A paired profession for leatherworking is skinning.

At maximum level, leatherworking allows you to craft the best PvE gear with resistances. The best recipes for leatherworkers include Simple Bat Hide, Green Dragon Mail, Black Dragon Mail, Bloody Tiger Armor, Stormcloak Armor, and Devisaur Leather Armor (available in different specializations). At character level 40 and skill level 225, a leatherworker can choose one of three specializations:

  • Designed for characters who wear leather armor with agility.
  • Leatherworking: Dragonscale is for those who wear chain mail.
  • Leatherworking: Ancestral Tradition is suitable for those who need armor with agility or intelligence and resistances (for example, Devisaur Leather Armor).

Leatherworkers can also craft upgrades that increase the armor rating of various pieces of equipment (for example, Core Leather Armor).

Other significant items:

  • The Onyxia Scale Cloak is essential in Onyxia's Lair.
  • Quivers and pouches for hunters that increase attack speed in ranged combat (for example, the Thick Leather Pouch).
  • Trinkets and toys (for example, a thick leather ball).
  • Once every three days, a leatherworker can use the Salt Shaker to create Cured Rugged Hide.

5.7. Mining in WoW Classic

Mining allows you to extract ore and stones for engineering and blacksmithing. The tool for mining ore and stones is the Miner's Pickaxe.

Having acquired pieces of ore, the miner must smelt the ingots using a forge in a large city (two pieces of ore per ingot).

  • The most valuable ore is Dark Iron Ore. She can be found in Molten Core and Blackrock Depths. To organize Dark Iron Smelting, you need to go to the Black Forge in Blackrock Depths. To learn Dark Iron Smelting, you need to complete the task (bring stones and ingots to the blacksmith who lives in Blackrock Depths). Dark Iron Ingot is used to craft some of the most useful items in the game - such as the 247x128 Biznix Scope and the Sulfuron Hammer.

By mining ore, a miner can obtain precious and common stones, which are used in other professions. For example:

  • The Arcane Crystal is required by alchemists.
  • Azerothian diamond is used in several professions to make the best armor and weapons.

5.8. Skinning in WoW Classic

Skinning is required by tanners. With its help you can get leather, skins, scales and herbs. To skin a monster, you will need a Skinning Knife. Valuable skins include:

  • Core leather from hounds' bowels. Mining requires skill 310 and access to Molten Core.
  • Pristine animal skin is required for professional tasks, skill 310 is required.
  • Dreamscales are used to make armor with resistance to nature magic.
  • Onyxia Scale is obtained at skill level 315 and is required to craft Onyxia Scale Cloak
  • Devisaur Leather is required to craft Devasaur Leather Armor with excellent bonuses to accuracy.
  • Ancient Bat Leather and Primitive Tiger Leather are used to craft armor from Zul'Gurub.

5.9. Tailoring in WoW Classic

Tailoring is a profession for spellcasters. As a rule, it is studied in conjunction with enchanting, which allows you to disenchant sewn equipment. Fabric is obtained from monsters. Before sewing, it must be rolled into rolls.

For the most part, tailors specialize in woven armor and cloaks. At maximum skill level, they can craft kits with resistances and other powerful effects.

  • Sets with resistances: Stygian (Darkness), Forest (Nature), Fiery Core (Fire), Glacial (Ice).
  • Items with interesting effects: Robe of True Faith, Robe of the Abyss, Robe of the Archmage, Robes of the Bloodvine

Tailors can also make bags that are required by all characters (such as the Runecloth Satchel), as well as specialized job and class bags (such as Enchanter's Great Bag for Enchanters, Cenarion Satchel for Herbalists, and Felcore Satchel for Warlocks). .

Tailors also have access to recipes for crafting equipment for role-playing games. Such items do not give the character additional characteristics, but look very attractive (for example: bonus to intelligence,

6.3. Fishing in WoW Classic

Leveling up your fishing skill takes a lot of time, but allows you to obtain specific materials for cooking and other professions (for example, Oil Blackmouth for alchemy). Overall, this is a fascinating profession with interesting mechanics.

Fishing Basics:

  • To fish, you need a fishing rod. You need to pick up the fishing rod.
  • The chance of catching fish in a particular body of water depends on your skill level. If your level is high enough, you can successfully fish in high-level locations.
  • When you cast your line into a school, you will get a certain type of fish. If you're fishing in open water, the catch will be mixed.
  • Some fish can only be caught at certain times of the day or year.
  • before others and win a valuable prize like
  • Enchanting combines with Tailoring, Leatherworking, and Blacksmithing (you can craft items and then disenchant them), but most people choose Tailoring since you don't need an additional profession to gather cloth (like skinning for leatherworking).
  • Engineering is best combined with mining. Engineers need ore too!
  • Fishing is combined with alchemy, which uses raw fish.
  • Skinning is a must for tanners.
  • A miner can choose engineering or blacksmithing as a second profession.
  • Skinners are encouraged to learn leatherworking.
  • Tailors can simultaneously become enchanters and dismantle crafted armor into dust and crystals. From time to time, tailors need leather, but in much smaller quantities than fabric.

If you are incredibly rich or have characters who can farm materials, you can take two producing professions - for example, engineering and blacksmithing for a warrior.

If, on the contrary, money is not enough, you can take two gathering professions or alchemy and herbalism to sell potions and excess herbs at auction.

8. Best professions for classes and roles

Fighters

In PvE, almost all fighters (hunters, paladins, rogues, shamans, warriors) benefit greatly from engineering, however, it is worth remembering that engineering is considered an expensive profession, and in order to fully benefit from it, you will have to actively farm ore or buy it at auction.

Hunters proficient in engineering receive additional benefits:

  • Save on ammunition by making Thorium cartridges yourself
  • Can feign death and then revive allies with the Goblin Cable Defibrillator.
  • Upgrade ranged weapons with the Bizniks Sight 247x128

Paladins, who have few ranged attacks in their arsenal, can throw bombs at their opponents if necessary.

PvP

In PvP, engineering benefits all classes - providing control, weakening and slowing enemies, identifying rogues and druids while stealthed, granting haste and invulnerability... and so on.

Engineering is indispensable for those who prefer low-level PvP, as with this profession you can craft items that significantly exceed the characteristics of dungeon loot and quest rewards.

Textile

Tailoring is popular with mages, priests, and warlocks who want to craft BoP kits with powerful effects for themselves. As stated earlier, tailoring pairs well with enchanting.

Tailors know how to sew bags, including bags for warlock stones.

Druids

Druids tend to choose herbalism for themselves, since in travel form they collect herbs faster than other characters. Tauren Druids have a racial bonus that increases their Herbalism skill by 15 points. Herbalism (especially when paired with alchemy) is also suitable for players who want to earn more money.

Tank Druids usually choose to enchant themselves so they can craft Smoking Heart of the Mountain. After receiving the accessory, some change their profession.

Leather and chainmail

Druids, robbers, shamans and hunters often turn to leatherworking and make their own armor.

Armor

Paladins and warriors who need equipment and sharpening stones usually take blacksmithing and mining.

9. Changes compared to Battle for Azeroth

  • The following professions are missing from WoW Classic: Inscription, Jewelcrafting, and Archaeology.
  • In WoW Classic, First Aid is a separate profession, while in Battle for Azeroth it is combined with Tailoring.
  • Alchemy laboratories in WoW Classic are not located in major cities, but in dungeons.
  • In WoW Classic, players do not have the ability to quickly learn recipes that were forgotten when changing professions.
  • The bank does not have a tab with materials for professions.
  • Recipes have no ranks.
  • Unnecessary equipment cannot be disposed of. There are no items in the game like Blood of Sargeras that can be exchanged for materials.
  • There are no professional quests that increase skill levels at the Darkmoon Faire.
  • Enchanters cannot enchant scrolls. You can only enchant other people's items in the exchange window. You cannot trade enchantments through an auction.
  • Points with grass and ore are not shared between players. The one who reaches the point first gets the resources.
  • All recipes for crafting the best equipment have high skill level requirements.

WoW: Battle for Azeroth | 2018-08-14

Many WoW players, especially new ones, are wondering what profession is best to choose at the beginning of the Battle for Azeroth expansion. In this guide, we will explain in detail which professions and why will be the most relevant and in demand.

So, to speed up the leveling of your character, you should take and at the very beginning. In addition, you can easily earn gold, since ore and grass are used in the most popular and sought-after professions in the game.

Herbalism (Herbalism)

This profession in Battle for Azeroth has become even more relevant, since now, in addition to Alchemy, a redesigned Inscription has appeared. For this reason, the grass will not lose its value throughout the entire patch. After training, don't forget to buy a shovel.

Even if you don’t level up the Inscription, most likely, contracts will be made for you by friends who will need your resources.

Mining

The choice of this collective profession is due to the fact that it affects 3 more professions - Engineering, Blacksmithing and Jewelry. Don't forget to buy a pickaxe.

Once you reach a certain level of reputation with certain factions, Mining can be reset. If you want to regain your skills in the gathering profession, you can purchase the book “Lost Zandalari Knowledge” from the teacher.

Alchemy

After Mining, we recommend taking Alchemy. But for this you will need to acquire the necessary herbs in advance. Having received an easy 2 stars, you can immediately go for level 3 recipes. This will allow you to make several tinctures at a time, which will significantly increase your earnings.

As a result, we get that the best combinations of professions to start Battle for Azeroth are:

  • Herbalism + Mining— will allow you to farm resources and earn gold, but you will have to buy contracts;
  • Herbalism + Alchemy— an excellent way to farm Distillium (a reagent for serious crafting);
  • Herbalism + Inscription- to make contracts for yourself and friends.

Closer to the opening of the raid, Herbalism and Inscription will no longer be so relevant. All players will receive the required reputation, and the contract can be purchased at the Auction. Therefore, at this later stage of the game they should be replaced with:

  • Tailoring/Blacksmithing/Leatherworking;
  • Enchanting;
  • Alchemy.

Professions such as Engineering and Jewelry are the weakest.

Minor professions

Cooking— will allow you to create dishes that restore health and mana, and also apply positive buffs. The Feast of the Generous Captain deserves special attention.

— interacts closely with Cooking, since it is possible to create fish dishes from reagents. In addition, there is an opportunity to catch other valuable items.

One of the hardest decisions to make when playing World of Warcraft. This decision should be based on your preferences in the game, be it PvP, PvE, farming or making money from crafting.

Goals of professions
There are 4 main tasks of professions:
  • Farm (earnings or use)
  • Earning money from crafting
PvP professions
For PvP, you should choose a profession that has good bonuses.
  1. Jewelry. Bonus stones (amount for 3 stones): +102 Dexterity / Strength / Spirit / Intelligence / Resilience Rating / Hit Rating / Speed Rating / Critical Strike Rating, +204 Attack Power, +117 Spell Power, +153 Stamina, 129 Spell Penetration .
  2. Enchanting
  3. Engineering. Bonus enchantment for gloves (rocket http://ru.wowhead.com/spell=54998).
  4. Leatherworking
  5. First aid. The ability to restore your standard of living during battle. This profession is secondary!
There are also other professions that provide similar bonuses, but they are much less suitable for PvP.

PvE professions
For PvE, just like in PvP, you should choose a profession that has good bonuses and that will be useful in the raid.

  1. Jewelry. Bonus stones (amount for 3 stones): +102 Dexterity / Strength / Spirit / Intelligence / Resilience Rating / Hit Rating / Defense Rating / Skill Rating / Parry Rating / Armor Penetration Rating / Evasion Rating / Speed Rating / Critical Strike Rating, +204 Attack Power, +117 Spell Power, +153 Stamina, 129 Spell Penetration.

  6. Tailoring. Bonus enchantment for a cloak: http://ru.wowhead.com/spell=55777 / http://ru.wowhead.com/spell=55769 / http://ru.wowhead.com/spell=55642.
  7. Alchemy. Production of elixirs that provide various bonuses.
  8. Cooking. Production of food that gives various bonuses.
Professions for PvE are also selected based on your class and build. You should correctly calculate which profession will provide the best bonus for your character. I would like to note that the universal combination is Enchanting + Jewelcrafting. This bundle has excellent bonuses, a good opportunity to earn money, and when purchasing new equipment you will not have to spend money on jewelry stones and enchantments.

Farm professions
Mining professions are taken for farming. They bring excellent income, but you need to spend a lot of time on them.

  1. Mining. Collecting various ores is the most profitable profession.
  2. Skinning. Skinning the corpses of killed animals.
  3. Herbalism. Collecting herbariums in the vastness of Azeroth, this profession has the least competition.
The point of these professions is that with the most time spent, you can get the most income from farming certain ingredients. Such professions are usually taken by second characters (farming characters) to earn gold.

Craft-professions
To make money from crafting, professions with recipes that are constantly in demand are used.

  1. Tailoring. Creation of fabric products.
  2. Leatherworking. Creation of leather products.
  3. blacksmith craft. Creation of plate products.
  4. Jewelry. Creation of stones and jewelry (rings, necklaces).
  5. Enchanting. Improving the characteristics of things.
  6. Alchemy. Creating various potions and elixirs is the most profitable profession.
With the help of the above professions, you can make great money, knowing certain periods of time during which the demand for such crafts is high. For example, RT (raid time) for guilds, usually at this time the demand for Alchemy increases greatly. Players purchase potions and elixirs on an industrial scale or after RT, when many players have purchased new equipment and require jewelry stones or enchantments. Also, demand for such professions increases after the release of new patches.

The most successful combinations of professions
These professions go well together. For example, obtaining some ingredients and immediately using them to produce something, or a combination of two professions, which together provide an excellent bonus to the character’s characteristics.

  1. Blacksmithing and Mining. The mined ore is used in the production of plate armor, etc.
  2. Leatherworking and Skinning. The skins removed from killed animals are used to produce various patches and leather equipment.
  3. Jewelry and Mining. Using the mined ore, production of jewelry stones and jewelry.
  4. Engineering and Mining. To produce various mechanical things, engineers need ore.
  5. Alchemy and Herbalism. Allows you to collect various herbs and later brew potions and elixirs from them.
  6. Enchanting and Jewelcrafting. Gives an excellent bonus, suitable for both PvE and PvP.
  7. Jewelry Making and Engineering. The best combination for PvP.
You can also connect other professions, but these connections will be much less successful, which will bring you a lot of trouble.

Professions and classes
For each class there are the most optimal professions. Usually they are selected according to preference in the game, PvP or PvE. For solid characters choosing a profession in WoW should be based that way. The most successful connections:

  1. Mage . PvP PvE

Levels and professions
For upgrading each combination of professions, there are optimal levels when you should start upgrading.
  1. Professions of the type “crafting profession and mining profession” should start from level 1 to 80, this way you will always have gold during the entire time of leveling up your character and the level of professions will increase.
  2. Farming professions should also be started at level 1. Thus, in the future you will not have to run around low-level locations and gain a profession level. It is successful to combine crafting professions with mining ones at this stage.
  3. Professions for PvE/PvP that combine two crafting professions should be leveled up already at level 80, as upgrading them requires investments that you won’t have at the initial levels. The only exceptions are the combination of Tailoring and Enchanting, here for production you need fabric that falls from mobs, and then crafted items can be decomposed into ingredients for enchanting.
I wish you good luck in choosing a profession!
