How to save photos from Instagram? How to download all photos from Instagram in one minute How to download a photo from Instagram

How to save photos from Instagram? How to download all photos from Instagram in one minute How to download a photo from Instagram

In this regard, I found several ways to implement this task - as always, various online services help out, plus Yandex provided its very effective solution.

If you need a single download of images, there is one relatively simple method that is accessible to everyone and always works - I will also mention it. In the post I will look at how to download photos from Instagram to a computer, that is, smartphone applications are not included in the review. The same applies to desktop programs, I’m not sure if anyone else uses them :) Do you know other suitable solutions? - indicate them in the comments, they will come in handy. In total I found 4 ways:

Why download photos from Instagram?

The reasons may be different:

  • Firstly, as in my case, the use of personal photos in work, whether for some other purpose.
  • Secondly, you can upload pictures of other users for the same purpose, although it is not entirely clear what kind of nuances there are with copyright - although the materials are in the public domain, they were made by a very specific person.
  • Thirdly, such a solution is suitable for creating a kind of backup. It may be useful for importing into another service/account.
  • Fourthly, if you want to delete your representation on this social network, you can first download it to your computer (so as not to lose your work).

It works very simply: 1) enter a link to your Instagram profile or a separate post in the form; 2) then select settings (optional, it’s better to leave everything as is); 3) click “Save pictures”. For free and without registration, you can download up to 20 images at a time in maximum quality, 2 launches per day are available from one IP. If you need a much larger scale and not only Instagram, then I advise you to activate the Pro version, where there are no restrictions.

Vibbi (ex Instaport)

Previously, the service was called Instaport, now, apparently, it has become one of the functions of the Vibbi project. It allows you not only to download photos from Instagram online, but also downloads your videos and posts.

On the main page, in the “Get started” field, indicate the link to your account. According to the description, the service positions itself as a backup tool, but no one bothers you to provide a link to another (not your) profile. After entering the address, click on “Continue”. A list of all available images will open in a new window.

On this page you can:

  • make a selection by date and download it - click “Download Range”.
  • mark only certain pictures for downloading + “Download Selected” button;
  • download everything via “Download All Posts” (with a large number of objects it may be difficult);

As I said above, the Vibbi service allows you to download photos and videos from Instagram, that is, absolutely all your materials (I couldn’t find confirmation of functionality regarding posts).

In addition, some users claim that it is not always possible to download pictures from the social network - the process seems to be going on, but even after 2-3 minutes (stated in the description) nothing happens. This happened to me a couple of times myself. In this case, you can restart the process. If this does not help, I advise you to download photos from Instagram to your computer gradually, selecting 20-30 (or more) at a time and clicking on the “Download Selected” button. This method works 99% of the time. As a result, you get images up to 1080x1080 pixels with filters applied.

Yandex.Disk for photos from Instagram

Quite unexpectedly for me, the Yandex.Disk cloud file storage service included a function for importing photos from social networks. With its help, you can download photos from Instagram online directly to the service itself without downloading them to your local computer. After logging into your account, select “Photos from social networks”.

The page that opens displays already downloaded pictures, if any, plus there are a couple of tools for working: opening sharing, creating albums, sorting, etc. At the very top in the center is the “Save new photo” button. Click on it and you will see buttons for connecting different social networks.

Select Instagram, after which Yandex will request access to your account. Immediately after confirmation of permission, copying of materials to Yandex.Disk will begin. That's basically it. The process is completed quite quickly, and unlike Vibbi, it is not buggy.

If you initially needed to download photos from Instagram to your computer, then you should perform one more action. In the same section of the “Photos from Social Networks” menu, check the corresponding folder and click on the download icon in the sidebar on the right.

This is if you need to get a full backup of images from the service on the local drive of your PC. In this case, you can also go to the folder and make a random selection.

Unlike the previous service, the images here are smaller in size - 640x640 and only in square format (even if they were different in the service itself). In addition, videos are saved separately in a folder with common files; they are not in this section.

In general, Yandex.Disk is a great option to download photos from Instagram to your computer for free or store them in a cloud service. The only, but quite logical, “minus” here is that you can only upload pictures from your account.

Web page inspectors in browsers

Almost every modern browser has an interactive tool that allows you to view and edit source code - the Page Inspector. In Chrome and Firefox, it is called using the hotkeys Ctrl + Shift + I or through the context menu. The second option is simpler and faster, as it allows you to immediately open the desired element on the page.

So, to download a photo via Instagram using a link, you need to right-click on the image and then select Inspect from the menu.

In the Inspector, find a link to the image in the HTML code of the page. For example, in the screenshot above you see a certain DIV block with the class “ovg3g”, and the image is in the previous DIV with the class “_jjzlb” (at least that’s the case now). In fact, you don’t need the names of the classes; I’m giving them for absolute beginners who find it difficult to immediately understand the essence of what is happening.

Next, either copy the address of the image, or select “Open link in new tab” in the context menu to open the image in a new browser tab. This method allows you to download photos and videos to Instagram, but for the latter the HTML code is a little more complicated and you will have to open several nested DIVs during the search process.

Instagram for downloading photos from Instagram

The Instagrab project is easy to use and even works from mobile phones (via a browser, not as an application). All you need to do is indicate the link to the desired photo in a special field on the page and click “Download”.

After the picture is uploaded to the service, click the “Download file” button below it - the object will open in a new window (size 1080x1080). Then you use the basic functions of the browser and right-click on the image, selecting the menu item “Save image as...” (Save as).

In general, Instagramb allows you to quickly and easily download Instagram photos from a link, suitable even for beginners. The algorithm for working with video is similar. In fact, this service is a simplified version of the previous method without the need to study the source code of the page.

Total

I will briefly summarize the distinctive features of each option:

  • Vibbi (ex Instaport) - several options for selecting images (including downloading all account materials), your own and other people's photos, size 1080x1080 pixels. Minus - sometimes it's buggy.
  • Yandex.Disk - a selection of pictures + a full account backup, dimensions 640x640, fast, stable operation. The only downside is your profile.
  • Web inspector - allows you to download photos from Instagram to your computer only one at a time, but from any account. The downside is the relative complexity of execution.
  • Instagramb is a simple service, uploading one object at a time, processing your own and other people’s materials via a link, size 1080x1080 px. In principle, there are no obvious disadvantages, although I don’t particularly like the fact that a personal picture can appear on the site in the “latest uploads” slideshow.

Which method to choose depends on your goals. If you want to backup your account, I liked Yandex.Disk the most (easy and without glitches). For a single download, I use the page inspector - personally, it’s faster and easier for me, since I’m well versed in HTML code.

What applications/programs and services do you use to download photos from Instagram? — write the names in the comments.

Instagram protects the content that is on the social network. Therefore, downloading or saving photos from Instagram is not as easy as, say, from VKontakte, but it is still possible. There are several tricks, as well as additional applications, that allow you to do this.

The downside, though, is that in any case you download a photo that has already been processed by the owner and compressed by Instagram itself according to certain parameters. That is, the saved photo will most likely lose quality to the original.

How to download photos from Instagram on your computer

Let's start with the desktop. What do you usually need to download? Account avatar and any photo from the post. As for closed profiles, you need to subscribe to them and when the owner confirms the subscription, all media will be open to you. The situation is more complicated with Stories, since they are on the screen for only a few seconds and disappear within 24 hours.

The simplest way is to open the post with the desired photo on your computer and press the Prt Sc key on your keyboard, usually it is located in the same row as the f1-f12 keys.

After that, open any visual editor. Take Paint and press the key combination ctrl+v, or on a blank screen, right-click and select “Paste” from the menu that appears, or find the paste function on the toolbar.

A photo of the entire screen will be inserted, and in order to get the picture we need, you just need to trim the edges and save the resulting image on your computer.

The same method can be used if you need to take an image from .

Program to help: Qip Shot- allows you to take a screenshot of only the selected area of the screen.

All browsers today have tools for web developers that allow you to view the code of any website. The tool is needed so that you can search for errors in the code and check how to fix them. But that's not the point.

Thanks to the tool, you can download photos from Instagram to your laptop or PC. Let's look at the example of one of the most popular browsers - Google Chrome. To do this, open the post with the image you like, right-click on a free part of the screen and select “View code”.

A panel with the site code will open at the bottom. In the upper left corner of the panel, there is an icon of the mouse hovering over the screen - click on it (this will allow you to view the code of the selected element).

Place the cursor over the photo so that it is highlighted and click. Now we go down below and find the image code (usually it starts with img src...), point at it and right-click again, in the menu that appears, click on the “Open in new tab” item.

The image opens in a new tab. Again, right-click in the image area and select save as. Save the photo to your computer.

You can use the same method if you want to download someone's profile photo. It’s unlikely to be used for Stories, since you simply won’t be able to keep up with their flickering.

How to save or download photos from Instagram on your phone

Method 1 - official.

This way you can save your favorite photo to a collection. You can sort, edit, and remove irrelevant images from collections. To save, open the photo you like in the application, and on the right side click on the flag icon.

To view, return to the main profile page and click on the checkbox at the top to view saved photos.

This solution is suitable if you want to save a photo for inspiration or along with a post.

The downside is that after this you will not have an image on your phone and it will not be possible to use it. And if the author deletes a post that you saved, it will disappear from your collection.

Method 2 - screenshot.

The same principle as with a screenshot on a computer. Depending on how to take a screenshot on your device (you can find out in the instructions for your phone or on the manufacturer’s website), click on this button and the photo is saved to the gallery.

The disadvantages here are the same, the photo will later need to be cropped, and it will also be small in size and will lose quality when scaled.

The best ways to download all photos from Instagram

Often there is a need to download a photo you like from someone else’s Instagram. Here, each user has his own secret - from third-party applications to banal “screening” of the page. One thing we know for sure is that there is nothing complicated about it.

But what about situations when you need to save an entire profile - several dozen, or even hundreds of records - into the archive?

Many people do not trust third-party services, and rightly so. Often, tempting offers to “download all photos in one click” hide scammers whose goal is to steal your personal information – login and password for the page. In this case, you can limit yourself to the standard functionality of a regular browser.

Method 1

  1. We open the browser-based web version of the social network Instagram from a computer (or smartphone).
  2. Log in and go to the profile from which we will download materials.
  3. Next, you need to scroll through all the entries to the very end (or rather, to the beginning). It is necessary that all existing photos from the first to the last be loaded onto the pages.
  4. After that, you just need to save the page to your device. Yes, yes, it’s so simple, and you’ve probably used this technology more than once. If not, then saving the page will not take much time. All mobile browsers are equipped with this technology (you need to dig into the application Tools), and on a computer this can be done by simultaneously pressing the “Ctrl + S” keys. Important note: the entire page must be saved, not just its original html code.
  5. And then all that remains is to enjoy the photos! In the folder where you saved the file with the page, all photos from your selected Instagram profile will be automatically duplicated.

Method 2

This method is suitable for Yandex.Disk users (and for those who are ready to become one). This method has an undoubted advantage - it can be used to save not only photos from Instagram, but also from any popular social network to the Cloud.

There are no special subtleties or tricks for downloading photos from Instagram. You can use one of the methods suggested above, or consider the options that will be offered below - using special services and browser plugins.
