Over time, Firefox may develop problems such as slow performance, crashes, unwanted toolbars, and more. Finding the causes and solving these problems can be difficult, time consuming and time consuming. Additionally, since your cookies will be saved, you will not be logged out of websites you were registered with before the reset.
Custom site settings, search engines, personal spell check dictionary, download history, DOM storage, security certificate settings, security device settings, download actions, plugin MIME types, panel settings, and custom styles will also not be saved. Note: Once the reset process is complete, the information from your old Firefox profile will be placed on your desktop in a folder called "Old Firefox Data". If resetting did not fix your problem, you can recover some of the unsaved information by copying the files to the new profile you created. For instructions, read the article Copying files between profile folders. If you no longer need this folder, you should delete it because it contains sensitive information.

How to reset Firefox to default settings?
1. At the top of the Firefox window, click the Firefox button, go to the Help submenu and select Troubleshooting Information.

2. Click the "Reset Firefox" button in the upper right corner of the "Troubleshooting Information" page.

3. To continue, in the confirmation window that opens, click on the “Reset Firefox” button.
