To relieve the workload of individual departments, multifunctional centers for providing services to the population were organized throughout the country. This led to a significant reduction in queues and time savings. The problem is that the long distance from home to the institution does not allow individual citizens to solve their problems. If it is not possible to come to the multifunctional center, residents can submit applications electronically. To do this, you need to register on the government services portal.

The concept of a single portal of public services

Designed as a federal website, the government portal is popular among the Russian population. On it, individuals and legal entities can access information on all services provided in the country:

• state control and supervision;
• municipal institutions;

Understanding plugins

From time to time, a situation arises when a software module becomes outdated, and in order to continue working on the site it is necessary to update it. The extension for the public services plugin is available: in Firefox, Yandex Browser, Internet Explorer, Chrome.

Installing a new extension

To work on the unified portal of government services (official website www.gosuslugi.ru), as well as to enter the Unified Identification and Autonomy Service center, you must use either Microsoft Internet Explorer, or Mozilla Firefox, or Google Chrome. The electronic signature will not be available for other browsers.

In order for the new version of the extension to work without problems, you should remove the old program on your personal computer. To do this, you need to complete the following steps:

• go to the Start panel;
• enter the address plugins$ in the search bar
• Find the one you need in the list of plugins that appears;
• opposite the name, click on the “Disable” link.

As soon as the old program becomes inactive, you can install a new version for Yandex 3.0.0.0, for Chrome - 1.2.2, extension for the Firefox public services plugin - 2.1.4.

Recommendation. If the user has automatic launch of plugins enabled, which can be easily verified by the launch of video files when opening a page, then it is better to disable it. This will improve network security and reduce the rate of RAM contamination.

Setting for Mozila Firefox:

1. Press the combination Ctrl+Shift+A.
2. In the menu on the left, select “Plugins”.

5. Restart the browser.

If you have a new version of Mozilla, then it is better to roll back to the previous one. The developers have played with optimization and now a number of plugins are not supported in the new Firefox (for x64), including the Crypto Interface Plugin. It's best to use the x32 version.

Setting up Google Chrome:

1. Press the combination Alt+F. Go to “Extensions”.
2. Check the box next to the “CryptoPro” plugin.
3. Restart the browser.

If this does not help, then additional settings for Google Chrome are required.

One of the possible errors when working with the State Services portal lies on the user’s side, namely in his browser - the program with which they view web pages. It is difficult to know whether there is a bug in your software, so you should just try this method.

What are the errors?

• The browser is using old files. When you first access a web page, the browser remembers (caches) some files so as not to waste resources downloading them again. These files may be responsible for the functionality of a particular functionality. The error occurs when the visitor's browser uses previously saved files, while the executable files on the portal itself have changed: the developers introduced new functionality or modified the old one. Accordingly, with “old” files an error may occur when interacting with the portal.
• The browser does not support the required features. A browser is essentially a set of rules that tells it how to process certain code. How to solve the problem with the browser?

Option 1: Clear cache and cookies

When contacting technical support of the State Services portal, you can often hear advice to clear the cache and cookies of the browser you are using. Here you have two options: “clean” the browser that you use as your main one, or use another (non-main) browser.

The first option is good because you don’t need to change your usual program. But there is a significant drawback - all sites where login is required (social networks, email, etc.) will be logged out. If you don't remember the passwords for these accounts, you can easily lose access to them. Plus, the entire history of previously visited sites will be lost to you. If you have recorded the necessary data from the accounts you need and you do not need the history of visiting sites, then you can “clean” your main browser.

The second option implies that you use any other browser that you do not use, or a freshly downloaded program. In any case, make sure that the history and cookies of this browser are cleared, or better yet, carry out the cleaning procedure again.
